Brenda is originally from Puerto Rico. She obtained her Bachelors of Liberal Arts in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame of Maryland. From Alaska Pacific University she complete the program and became a K-8 Alaska-certified teacher.
Brenda started teaching in Washington State for an alternative school as their Spanish teacher and worked with their 9th-12th graders.
Moved to Alaska in 2009 and had the opportunity to work as a substitute teacher for the ASD mainly at their Spanish immersion schools but also at some traditional schools.
Brenda has taught in a public & private schools teaching all subjects to 1st graders and to combo classes 2nd/3rd & 3rd/4th, as well as Religion to 7th/8th and basic Latin from 1st to 8th graders. Since 2016 she also worked as a Language Arts, Math, and homework support tutor for students K-12.
